. ╰⊰✿ . . 'ae . . yes . me too . their plumage is lovely . the patterns and colours like bronze on the underside and dark wings. . I love their red eyes and their yellow and red beaks are so unusual as well . it is such a pretty bird I researched the Yellow-billed Oxpecker . . it is interesting to note I was thinking how similar they are to the Mynah bird here on Maui and I discovered they are related . Wikipedia states: "The Yellow-billed Oxpecker (Buphagus africanus) is a passerine bird in the starling and myna family Sturnidae; some ornithologists regard the Oxpeckers to be a separate family, the Buphagidae (Zuccon, 2006). It is native to the savannah of sub-Saharan Africa from Senegal east to Sudan" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yellow-billed_Oxpecker . . . . perfect dof Mareko . it is a well balanced and very beautiful photograph . . it is always a pleasure to explore your splendid wildlife gallery . . be sure to submit your work to the following groups for additional features . especially Dimensions and Fine Art Photography . . . . you are featured again in of Birds of the World . . Thank you Sharon for your kind words. What I like about this image is the back and front of the same species at the same time.
